Welcome to my LDT Capstone page.

My philosophy is to design immersive learning experiences that help people realize their highest potential.

I believe people learn through experiences that are immersive, engaging, and authentic.

I facilitate thoughtfully designed instruction that creates these experiences. The learning I design responds to learners’ diverse backgrounds and builds on their motivation to achieve a goal.

To get there, I take the time to connect with learners. What are their hopes? Why do they want to learn? Where do they see themselves going with their newfound skill?

My approach is to build on the value they already see, building a road to concrete skills they are excited to use.

As a professional in the world of Training and Development, my learners are often interns, nonprofit staff, and Los Angeles County service providers who care deeply for their work.

I’m committed to empathizing with their challenges, and synthesizing research into workshops that help them solve the real problems they encounter everyday.

Through this, I help learners realize their highest potential, and carry their skills forward into meaningful professional change.

Curriculum Overview

The learning problem addressed by this curriculum is the need for relevant, practical, and timely career instruction for student interns at The AMAAD Institute, a community health nonprofit in South Los Angeles.

The 8-week curriculum covers skills such as career visioning, resume and cover letter writing, and interview skills.

Alongside supporting the interns, the course will also allow The AMAAD Institute to routinely hire from a growing pool of confident, capable interns.

With the skills gained from this career course, AMAAD student interns will articulate and achieve their professional dreams.
